When Mercury goes RETROGRADE, 3-4 times a year communication goes “hay wire!” Under the planetary influence of Mercury Retrograde you’ll experience misunderstandings; You’ll experience equipment and mechanical break-downs of all types; computers crash; software programs don’t work; checks get lost; merchandise that you order doesn’t arrive; it’s a bad time to buy a car unless you like “lemons!” It’s a horrible time to buy things because you’ll change your mind when Mercury goes DIRECT.
During Mercury Retrograde, expect more than the usual cancellations; flight, car, train delays if you travel; Bad time for any decisions; New projects started at this time will fail;
Examples of “public” disasters and mistakes that occurred during Mercury Retrograde periods:
- Gov. Rick Perry made a bad decision when he declared his candidacy for President during Mercury Retrograde. It was a time when mis-communications were likely to occur for him. He proceeded, repeatedly, to “stick his foot in his mouth,” (i.e. mis-communicating) many times, gaffe after gaffe. Despite starting out, briefly, as the “front-runner,” eventually he “dropped out” of the Republican primary race.
- Ryan Braun, Baseball player and 2011 MVP was accused of testing positive for illegal use of drugs during Mercury Retrograde. Once the Retrograde was over – a review of his drug test showed he was NOT guilty. He is the 1st MLB player to have had his test findings reversed. This is proof that when mistakes are made during the Retrograde – they will be corrected when Mercury goes Direct.
- The 2000 Presidential election with BUSH and GORE was held during Mercury Retrograde. Delays, errors and confusion occurred in the voting in Florida. Remember: Ballots were examined for “hanging chads?” What followed was a crazy circus to determine who voted for who? In a peculiar and, highly unusual turn-about, the election was decided by the Supreme Court of the United States. And, Bush was declared the winner – even though GORE was the winner of the popular vote. Just what you’d expect from Mercury: The Trickster of the Zodiac!
